Not really a pub but it sure felt like it

Granville street.

Granville street.

Just before the Olympics I ventured over to Vancouver to do some business and for a pre-Olympic scouting tour. I stayed downtown on Granville street.

I got hungry and since Granville street is considered the entertainment district of Vancouver I went looking for some grub and a pint. I found a place almost next door in the Howard Johnson hotel called Wings.

Now Wings looks like a pub, feels like a pub and as I discovered later acts like one to. But I'm told that it's kid friendly so it's not really a pub.

On my visit I just stopped in for a quick bite and a pint. Wings as you may think by their name is about wings! Chicken wings and lots of them. I don't remember how many varieties they had but they had lots. And reasonably priced too.

Oh and the beer wasn't priced out of this world either!
