There are 3 separate design school around the city and a new generation is making an impact on fashion within Vancouver.
There are some hot target shopping zones that you really must target when you go to Vancouver. You definitely have to experience the ever so famous Robson Street.
Robson Street links the West End with Downtown and has many restaurants, coffee shops, bars and shops. It is usually packed with locals and tourists. Watch out on a Saturday! It almost feels like a mall, but an 'outside mall'. You will find the Gap, Club Monaco, Armani A/X between Burrard and Jervis streets as well as many other top name shops.
The hub of the downtown shopping is the intersection of Georgia Streets and Granville. This is where you will find department stores like the
Hudson's Bay Company
and the
Pacific Centre.
The Pacific Centre stretches two blocks along Granville Street between Georgia and Pender Streets and connects with office towers and the
Sky Train.
You will find the Bay and Sears with the huge Holt Renfrew fashion store along the way. You are gauranteed to find high fashions and top notch name brands in Vancouver.
Pricey designer suits and dress can be found at the
Sinclair Centre
at Granville and Hastings Streets. It is a smart conversion of four historic buildings which includes an elegant clock tower dating back to 1910 which used to be a post office.
