Webcams are the best way to see what the weather is really like in Vancouver.
We think we've found the best!
Kat Kam
This is one of my favourites. Kat Kam overlooks Burrard street bridge and faces towards English Bay, Vanier Park, False Creek, parts of Kitsilano and includes
the H. R. MacMillan planetarium and more. A great big picture that updates frequently, bookmark this site and watch the fireworks in the summer?
Bluenose
This is located in my area of New Westminster. The Bluenose cams ( and there are three of them ) face east towards Mt. Baker and the Port Mann Bridge.
With the Bluenose cams you can see the sunrise each day, or not, of which case it's raining in Vancouver!
There is even a short time lapsed movie of sunrise and sunset available each day.
Port of Vancouver
The Port operates 18 cams in various locations around the inner harbour of Vancouver. 2 of those cams are located at the Port's Delta port
terminal which is several miles south of Vancouver.
Helijet Cam
This camera faces the Helijet terminal in downtown Vancouver. You may see a helicopter in the shot with the Ports container cranes in the backgroung.
Helijet has daily flights to Victoria and Whistler, as well as other destinations.
Numinous
This just might be my all time favourite webcam in Vancouver.
You are looking at the West End of Vancouver with the Burrard street bridge tucked away on the lower right side. Kat Kam is located somehere across that bridge.
The tall building on the left is the Hotel Shangri-la ( penthouses go for almost $20 mil! ) and the tall building on the right is the Sheraton Wall Center Hotel.
Those mountains in the background are the North Shore mountains and they get snow on them in the winter. A beautiful vista to behold.
Westin Bayshore Hotel Cam
Another one of my favourites. This cam offers views of the inner harbor, eastwards, towards the Ironworkers memorial bridge.
Stanley Park is at the extreme left side of this cam.
Jericho Beach Cam
Bowen Island is the distance, with Georgia Strait in for foreground.
